According to the Gospels, following a star to Bethlehem, the Magi from the East found a baby lying in a manger, they recognized the importance and offered him gold, frankincense and myrrh.
For the faithful, the day before the vigil serves as a transit to the mystery of the birth of the God who became man and entered into human history: they give the finishing touches to the crib, get ready for Midnight Mass in a pending which seeks to present and the real miracle of the birth of Christ.
Original value was added that the party’s modern, perceived by non-believers, characterized by a rich dinner (which is known as Eve) and the exchange of gifts, care for people, at midnight (in some regions of Italy, others recall the exchange of gifts and the main meal for lunch the next day).
